In this alternate DELTARUNE universe, the whole world has been enveloped in total darkness shortly after Asriel left for college. A darkness leaked out, blocking the sun, casting everyone into the Dark World and freezing the Roaring at its beginning. Kris and Susie realize their roles in the Prophecy early and the Lonely Prince of the Dark has been missing, rumored to have been lost. It's been 2 years of total darkness and the deadline for the Prophecy is drawing near, and the one place where there is Light (The School) is dimming. Kris and Susie, as the Lightner Delta Warriors of the Prophecy, have been tasked to search for the Prince but had no luck. All they know is that he must be brought to City Hall before the deadline passes or they'll never step foot in the Light World again.Meanwhile, in the Deepest Dark of the Dark World, hid Ralsei under the care of Seam. Seam took to taking care of him after the land fell into a deep shadow. They do not trust the Holiday family's plans for Ralsei so they kept him tucked away from prying eyes for 2 years. One day, however, Seam has gone missing. Anxious that the one person he cares about is in desperate trouble, the naive and gullible Ralsei leaves the Deepest Dark to look for Seam with the help of Kris and Susie.This universe is loosely based on Anastasia, following the structure of DELTARUNE's chapters. A universe where everyone knows about the Prophecy... except for Ralsei.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

❥ Will Gaster / mystery man / egg man / FRIEND / The Roaring Knight / Dess be a part of the AU?Yes. Do not expect ambiguous DELTARUNE characters to have much presence in the story yet, though! I'm writing this AU with everything we know to be canon in DT in mind. So if it's not explicitly said in-game (i.e. Dess = Roaring Knight theory), it's not going to be included in the story. We'll wait until it's confirmed in the game itself for more things about these mysterious characters.. ★ ─── =ᗢ= ─── ★ .Will the story follow DELTARUNE's chapters?Yes, it will follow DELTARUNE's chapters. The Fun Gang will go on the same order of events as they did in canon (with a twist). They won't seal Dark Fountains (that we know of...) but they will go through each Dark World, fight every final boss and secret boss, and go through the main story's beats. How? Don't ask. That's spoilers.Granted, there are major changes to the story, considering everyone knows the Prophecy and Ralsei doesn't. But most plot points are still there 👍. ★ ─── =ᗢ= ─── ★ .❥ Is Ralsei transfem?Technically, no. He grew up being genderqueer. He identifies with being a boy, a girl, neither, and both. Seam allowed him to express his gender freely. He still prefers to use he/him pronouns, though. All characters in the AU will use their canonical pronouns. (Lack of pronouns will be defaulted to they/them.). ★ ─── =ᗢ= ─── ★ .❥ Will there be a Weird Route?Yes, but it won't be canon to the AU. It will be it's own side thing. And I won't be making Weird Route content until Chapter 5, however, because I need more information to write something off it. Also don't expect it to be a long narrative. It'll probably be a few pages of comics 👍. ★ ─── =ᗢ= ─── ★ .❥ Does Susie get god-like powers when they get possessed by the SOUL to let Kris rest?Kind of? They get Kris' buffs but that's pretty much it. It's not like in UNDERTALE where the SOUL is absorbed. She is simply acting as a CAGE. She mostly rests whenever she acts as CAGE because caging the SOUL is physically taxing and she's not as used to it as Kris. That and she tends to override the SOUL's input.... ★ ─── =ᗢ= ─── ★ .❥ The triangles on the DELTARUNE symbol are upside down.It's on purpose. It's reflected on the Fun Gang's design, too. It is their relationship that's central to the plot, after all. Suselle WAS canon but they broke up for... conflicting ideas. Kerdly also WAS canon but someone chickened out. Kralsei has some moments but is mostly queer platonic.
